Meet Richard: the man, the myth, the monster. A new production of Shakespeare’s Richard III unfolds in the Globe Theatre this summer, with Artistic Director Michelle Terry in the title role.
Richard can taste the throne but before he can place the English crown on his own head, he must first set in motion a series of villainous events that threaten the lives of everyone around him.
Imagine a world in which self-serving ambition is audaciously paraded and pursued, and murderous crimes are committed and confessed with irresistible charm, charisma and impunity. Who can stop this pathological narcissist before the whole country is deceived and destroyed?
Following 2023’s ★★★★ ‘riveting’ (The Telegraph) A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Elle While returns to direct.
